My Ordinary

It has been a lovely, refreshing, relaxing Saturday that started off with saying goodbye to Joanie, Alec, and John as they headed back down to school, as well as Janet, Adam, and Clark as they went back up to Calgary. I already miss little Clark so much.  It is just fascinating to watch his little brain solve problems and to see a sense of compassion and empathy grow within him.

I have been grateful to feel at peace the past few days, as I have come the closest to feeling completely drained as I have in a while.  I have done my best to ward off a bit of the ‘burn out’ stage that I have brushed up against at work as well as a fairly crazy schedule lately, and I think that I’ve mostly been successful with that, but I know that my soul needs a little bit of a break. Being home, and being outside has been a significant refuge for me.
